The firm has grown.
The team must too.
Kolosseum has become the reference point for residential technology design in the APAC region faster than anyone in the industry anticipated. We are looking for two people who can operate at the standard the work demands.
What working at Kolosseum actually means.
Faster than the industry expected
Kolosseum has grown beyond what the market anticipated. Integrators across APAC now bring us in at design stage as standard — not as an option. The volume of work that reflects that confidence is real, and we are building the team to sustain it.
Stewardship, not service delivery
We are not a production house. We guide projects. We influence outcomes upstream — in the geometry, the documentation, the decisions made before a single trade arrives on site. The people we hire understand the difference.
Proprietary tools and methodology
We have built software and process frameworks that are unique to Kolosseum. You will work with tools that do not exist elsewhere in the industry — and you will help shape them.
Projects that do not appear online
The work you do here will be executed on some of the most significant residences in Australia and internationally. Your name will not be on them. That is the standard we operate at, and the people we are looking for understand why that matters.
We are not hiring to fill desks. We are hiring because the demand for what we do has outpaced our current capacity, and we will not let that change the quality of what we deliver.
Technical Drafts Person
Full-time · Remote-friendly
Kolosseum's documentation protects our integrators because it evolves with the industry, not behind it. We continuously refine our methods, tools, and outputs so every drawing set reflects the best standard available today. We are looking for someone who wants to push that standard forward with us.
You will work inside a design workflow that combines bespoke acoustic modelling software, speaker placement simulation, and screen sizing tools, while helping us improve those systems over time. The brief changes. The technology changes. Our process is built to keep improving with both.
This is not a tracing role. It is a role for someone who sees drafting as design intelligence, challenges stale conventions, and contributes to the continual innovation that keeps Kolosseum at the front of the discipline.
What we need
- Demonstrated precision in technical drafting — a portfolio that shows it
- Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD environments (AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent)
- Ability to interpret acoustic and AV engineering briefs and translate them into construction-ready documentation
- Willingness to learn Kolosseum's proprietary tools — room modelling, speaker placement geometry, screen sizing calculation
- Exceptional attention to detail as a default, not an effort
Nice to have
- Background in residential architecture, interior documentation, or AV/low-voltage design
- Exposure to acoustic treatment principles or CEDIA Recommended Practices
Automation Systems Engineer
Full-time · Remote-friendly
Kolosseum's automation and lighting work is built around continual innovation. We do not repeat yesterday's template. Every system is engineered for the specific architecture and client brief, then improved through what we learn on each project. We are looking for an engineer who is motivated by that forward motion.
You will design automation systems across multiple control platforms, specifying hardware, logic, and integration pathways for projects where failure is not an option. You will also help us refine internal frameworks and design standards so each completed project makes the next one stronger.
The ideal candidate works confidently across major ecosystems and understands platform strategy, not just programming. You can defend technical decisions, challenge weak briefs, and drive the iterative improvements that keep our engineering approach ahead of the market.
What we need
- Multi-platform exposure: at least two of Lutron, Crestron, Control4, Savant, Josh.ai
- Programming experience — not configuration. You understand the logic, not just the interface.
- Understanding of lighting control design principles: load types, scene architecture, daylight integration
- Ability to produce system design documentation that an integrator can execute without calling you
- Fluency with the nuances of residential versus commercial automation environments
Nice to have
- Experience with IP network design as it relates to automation infrastructure
- Familiarity with CEDIA RP-22/RP-23 or equivalent standards frameworks
- Exposure to Snap One, HDAnywhere, or AV distribution design
If you understand what we are building, we will find room.
We do not maintain a standing recruiter. The people who join Kolosseum find us the same way our clients do — through the industry, through reputation, or through their own standard of work. If that is you, introduce yourself.
