Lumen
LEVEL 02Everything in Glow — plus the lighting control programming spreadsheet. The document every programmer refers to from the first day of site to the last day of commissioning.
Lumen is the package that turns a floor plan into an executable project. The programming spreadsheet is the operational centre of the entire lighting control scope: every room, every channel, every luminaire type, and every notes field required for commissioning — in a single structured document that functions as the project's point of truth.

Start Lumen ProjectThe programming spreadsheet is the document every lighting control programmer relies on to execute a project.
When a lighting control programmer arrives on site, they need one document that tells them everything: which room they're in, which channel they're addressing, what luminaire type it drives, where the gear is, and what installation notes apply. Without this, they reverse-engineer the project from incomplete plans, inconsistent schedules, and verbal instruction — slowly, expensively, and with inevitable errors.
The Lumen spreadsheet is that document. It is structured so that a programmer can open it, find any row, and know precisely what they are programming and why. It is not a planning tool. It is an execution tool — built to the conventions that professional lighting control programmers across Australia already work to.
Kolosseum produces this document as a primary engineering output, not a by-product of another process. The columns are deliberate. The row structure maps to the physical project. The notes column captures the edge cases that normally get lost between design, electrical, and programming teams.
Spreadsheet Structure — Column by Column
Organised by level and zone — every room and exterior area is enumerated as its own line. No ambiguity about where a circuit belongs.
Exact room names matching the architectural drawings, so the programmer can cross-reference the plan without interpretation.
Fixture category (downlight, strip, pendant, wall wash, exterior, emergency) matched to the control channel. Where mixed types exist in one room, each is listed as a separate row.
Where remote drivers or gear trays are located relative to the luminaire. Critical for electricians routing cable to the correct board or tray location.
The control channel or DALI address assigned to each circuit. This is what the programmer enters into the control system. It is the primary reference column the programmer uses throughout commissioning.
Special instructions: compatibility caveats, driver wiring notes, dimming curve preferences, or coordination items for the electrician.

Lumen Additions
Load Schedule Generation
A complete tabulation of all connected loads per dimmer circuit — wattage, load type, and total load per device. Used by the electrical engineer or switchboard manufacturer to confirm circuit protection sizing and thermal management.
Full Channel Assignments
Every channel is assigned and documented. The programmer receives a document from which they can build their programming database directly — without having to extract information from a floor plan.
The documents your team actually uses on site.
The Programmer
Opens the spreadsheet. Finds every channel. Knows every luminaire type. Commissions faster with fewer callbacks.
The Electrician
Sees the floor plan markup. Knows which circuit goes where. The load schedule confirms the panel breaker sizes. No site interpretation required.
The Integrator
Issues the documentation to the trades. Answers fewer questions. Defends fewer variations. The project runs to the scope the client was sold.
Need the Electrical Documentation Too?
Radiance
The complete specification set. Lumen plus switchboard layouts, detailed wiring typicals for every dimmer and driver type, cable labelling conventions, DIN-rail space allocation, and full cross-referencing across all documents.
Radiance is what you hand to an electrician and walk away. The wiring arrangements are drawn to the hardware — not lifted from a manual the electrician may not have.
