Using the same Phase Focused crossover network as the LCR950, the MP950 achieves time and phase alignment between its twin 5.25-inch polypropylene woofers and 1-inch soft fabric dome tweeter — a defining characteristic of M&K Sound's professional monitor heritage. Crucially, the crossover incorporates a boundary compensation network specifically tuned to correct for the bass boost introduced when a speaker is mounted flush against or close to a room boundary. This allows the MP950 to deliver the same tonal accuracy in an on-wall installation that the LCR950 achieves in a free-standing or behind-screen context. THX Select2 certification confirms its suitability as part of a reference-calibre home cinema system, and the speaker is available in both black satin and white satin finishes to suit different interior aesthetics. The MP950 is suited to rooms from approximately 3m to 7m in length when used as a main screen channel speaker. Recommended Screen Pairing
The MP950 is an on-wall speaker and is not designed for behind-screen use. In systems where a projector and screen are used, the MP950 is appropriate where the screen is not acoustically transparent and the main speakers are positioned to the sides of the screen.
Acoustic Considerations
