RP XXII
The Flagship Experience
A complete turnkey cinema engagement for clients who require something beyond a standard scope. Every element, acoustics, geometry, equipment, construction, commissioning, is resolved under a single engagement with dedicated project oversight from brief to sign-off.
How a $500K+ Cinema is Engineered Around RP22 Audio Targets
What RP XXII means.
CEDIA/CTA-RP22 is a public recommended practice for immersive-audio design. It defines four performance levels through 21 criteria covering spatial resolution, dynamics and timbre. It does not certify a room, prove codec compatibility or replace a documented commissioning method.
The RP XXII engagement takes that standard as a floor, not a ceiling. The agreed RP22 audio target is one part of a wider project brief; video, equipment, construction and acoustic decisions retain their own criteria. At commissioning, measured outcomes are compared with that written brief using an explicit verification method.
This engagement is reserved for projects where the brief, the budget, and the client's expectations justify that level of commitment. It is not offered as an upgrade path from a standard package, it is a different kind of engagement entirely.
RP XXII Scope
One Engagement, Every Discipline
Acoustic design, speaker geometry, construction documentation, equipment specification, and commissioning are managed under a single engagement. There is no handoff between consultants. No scope gap. No instruction lost in translation between trades.
Reference-Grade Equipment
Equipment is specified to match the geometry and acoustic targets of the room, not the other way around. We work with Krix, Wisdom Audio, Ascendo, PRO Audio Technology, Trinnov, and StormAudio. Selection is driven by what the room requires, not by distribution relationships.
On-Site Until It's Right
Commissioning is not a day visit. We are on site for as long as the calibration requires. Applicable outcomes are measured against the written project brief, and the method and evidence are recorded before the project is closed.
Walk the Space Before It's Built
An interactive tour of an RP XXII cinema. Explore the geometry, speaker array and acoustic treatment at full scale.
From first thought to measured room.
Six outcomes, not ten administrative steps. Select a stage to see what exists when it is complete.

Share your board.
Share your own Pinterest board with us: seating, timber, stone, lighting, colour, and the rooms you keep returning to. Send it before the first conversation.
It tells us in five minutes what an hour of questions would not, and gives every later design decision a reason.
01 · The conversation
You describe the room. We tell you what is actually possible in it.
What exists at the end
An honest constraint list
What we need from you
- A room plan or sketch; any stage is enough
- Length, width and ceiling height, or permission to measure them
- Whether any existing windows need to be retained
- Favourite brands, rooms or references from your initial research
By invitation only.
The RP XXII engagement is not available off the shelf. Contact us to discuss your project. If the brief is right, we will extend an invitation.
